A fragment of Possibility
When there was no internet, no mobile humming in the pocket, no photographs to trap a moment, only the wild imagination of the gods. when words found their way through ink instead of keys, when letters held the weight of things we were too shy to speak, when I had no doorway to wander into impossible dreams maybe I’d have lived lighter then. For nothing would tempt the heart towards what could never be, nothing would stir hope in places hope wasn’t meant to live. And still… if it had, if your eyes caught the morning the way I imagine they do, if your smile rose like a quiet sun, if your hair drifted with the breeze, carrying a whisper of your fragrance the world would have slowed, the day would have softened, and in that single breath of time, I know I would not have missed you.
